Embracing Autumn's Palette: NYC & Beyond

Dear Friends,

As the leaves start to take on their seasonal hues and the city basks in a golden glow, I’m reminded of the glorious tapestry of experiences that life in the city offers. From the quixotic pulse of NYC, to the unbridled mystery of travel, there’s a bounty of life- and color waiting to be explored.

Market Snapshot

Interest rates are indeed a hot topic. We’re seeing the highest rates in 20 years. However, a glimpse back to the 70s offers valuable perspective. The initial shock of these interest rates has worn off, and as we navigate this, we are all gearing up for a lively fall season. Sales volume might have seen a dip – actual sales activity is down about 50% from last year – but the silver lining? Prices have remained commendably stable. There is opportunity in the marketplace- capable buyers are in demand- and sellers who price with the market will find strong activity.

Postcards from Israel

Mike Lubin Son

My recent trip to Israel wasn’t just about visiting a country I’ve long yearned to experience, it was very much about spending unhurried, meaningful time with my son Jack- who had just wrapped up a remarkable program at the University of Haifa. We immersed ourselves in the enchanting streets of Tel Aviv and the rich history of Jerusalem, with a knowledgeable guide by our side. This is a heartfelt plug to book a trip you don’t really have the time for- invite a relative or a buddy- explore and expand. What are you waiting for?

Affordable Art Fair – 9/20 – 9/24

The season also brings a burst of creativity with the Art Fair. One of my favorite cultural events of the year. Art is not always about name and provenance- sometimes it’s for fun- this is a low risk way to collect- buy what you love- what brings a smile to your face- or frankly- what matches your favorite chair or brings out the color in your eyes….

For those of you looking to complement the experience with a delightful meal, ‘Cafeteria‘ on 18/7th is the spot to be. I’ve been going to more years than I can imagine- and it’s a lively spot with good people watching and takes me back to NYC in the 90’s when the city had a bit more of a playful edge.  Their brunches are legend.

With autumn’s embrace, let’s appreciate every beat of our collective experiences, let’s be kind- most of all. Here’s to the stories waiting to be penned, and the adventures yet to come.

 To journeys, memories, and dreams,
